We are currently working with our fantastic client based in Belper who are looking to hire a Process Improvement Engineer. The main purpose of the role is delivering training, driving initiatives to implementation and driving actions with cross functional teams to improve all KPIs.

To be considered for the role, you'll require the following essentials:

A background in an engineering discipline and the relevant practical experience in a manufacturing environment
Degree, HNC or relevant qualifications or experience will be considered
A proven track record as a Lean / Process Engineer delivering significant value to an organisation
Ability to work effectively and communicate with cross-functional teams plus a key team player, able to work with all levels of an organisation
Pro-active and analytical
Have a good knowledge of Lean tools and experience teaching others those tools and methodology
Possess and demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving
Able to drive process change and development in a demanding environment and implement strategic plans
Within this position, you'll also be:

Working within a department that is responsible for all current model, new product introduction, engineering, and continuous improvement activities within the plant
Be part of a team of engineers collaborating across functions, from Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and maintenance
Drive initiatives to implementation, delivering production improvements, cost performance, visual factory, and standardization
Delivering training, coaching, challenging the status quo, and supporting others
Driving actions with cross functional teams to improve all KPIs for the plant
Work with cross functional teams to accomplish the 5S requirements within the area
Attend coaching sessions, developing and deploy production strategies
Ability to travel is essential
Manage and present data to various levels of the organisation and participate in the Daily Start-up/Accountability meeting as required
Salary & Working Hours

Salary is £42,000 per annum plus bonus

Working hours are - Monday - Friday - 37.5 hrs per week
