My client who is a prestigious and well-established business in Somerset are seeking a Food Technologist to join their passionate and quality-driven team. Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage robust food safety policies, procedures, and programs across retail and production.

Deliver regular training on hygiene, food safety, and compliance requirements to staff.

*

Conduct food safety audits and GMP checks, ensuring adherence to the latest regulatory standards.

*

Liaise with suppliers to evaluate their food safety practices and resolve any non-conformances.

*

Investigate and resolve customer complaints through cross-functional collaboration.

*

Manage and maintain accurate product specifications using internal systems.

*

Monitor and report on food safety performance, driving continuous improvement.

Required Experience:

*

Previous experience in a similar technical food role (retail, hospitality or production setting).

*

Solid understanding of HACCP, food hygiene, and food labelling legislation.

*

Strong IT and data analysis skills to support specification and compliance work.

*

Excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
