Job title: Electrical/Mechanical Service Engineer
Brief outline: Electrical Installations, Maintenance and Fault diagnosis to Pumping Systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing, fault diagnosis and maintenance of clean and dirty water systems
- Vehicle, plant and equipment maintenance
- Responding to and dealing with customer breakdowns, both clean and dirty water sites
- Servicing pumps and electrically testing pumps on completion
- Supporting apprentice developments through shadowing and supervised learning
- Assisting with workshop duties such as dismantling and assembling pump units
- Being responsible for weekend/evening emergency callouts on the rota with other engineers
- Adhering to health and safety guidance at all times
Skills needed
- Electrical & Mechanical support of installations in a Commercial and Domestic environment.
- Servicing, fault diagnosis, maintenance and responding to breakdowns with clean and dirty water systems.
- Carry out electrical testing and certification of electrical circuits.
- Ability to read panel drawings and understand control equipment.
- Provide support on technical issues for customers and staff.
- Work to recognised industry standards at all times.
- To assist other trades as/when required.
- Site manage and support projects from start to finish.
- Ensure all paperwork for project is kept up to date.
· Support the Manager with any duties required. - Good working Knowledge of BS7671. (Essential)
- Working Knowledge of pipework installations and pumps (Desirable).
Training/Qualifications needed to undertake role
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent AM2, testing and inspection and certification of electrical circuits.
· 18th Edition. - Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- Trailer licence.
- Full driving licence.
- Have a current CSCS / ECS card.
- Confined Spaces trained - desirable.
- Organised and methodical approach to work.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Minimum 2 years' experience.

This is a full-time position, subject to a three month probation period with the role becoming a permanent position.
