SHEQ Officer - Chemicals Manufacturing - £35-45k - 12 months FTC

We're recruiting for a SHEQ Officer for a high hazardous chemicals manufacturer.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid grounding in health and safety who wants to step into a high-hazard environment and gain valuable experience across safety, environmental and quality systems.

The Role

You will support the site leadership team with day-to-day Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) activities, helping ensure safe and compliant operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting risk assessments, hazard identification and safe systems of work

Assisting with contractor safety and site inductions

*

Supporting incident and near-miss investigations

*

Helping monitor H&S and environmental performance

*

Supporting audits, inspections and ISO-based management systems

About You

*

Background in health & safety or SHEQ within an industrial or manufacturing environment

*

Good understanding of core H&S principles (risk assessment, incident investigation, compliance)

*

NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent experience

*

Proactive and keen to learn

High-hazard or COMAH experience is not essential — this role offers hands-on exposure and development.
