Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Lewisham. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, offering an excellent opportunity to support students with additional learning needs and make a real difference in the classroom.

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teaching staff and the SEN department to provide both 1:1 and small group support. Your role will be key in helping students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with a range of learning needs

Assist teachers in adapting lessons and classroom activities

Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Help track student progress and provide constructive feedback

Support behaviour management and promote emotional wellbeing

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people (essential)

A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
