LHH is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded Top 100 accountancy firm in Manchester that is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Manager to its growing team.

In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead and mentor junior staff, and play a key part in delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and support the team by allocating work, providing guidance, and reviewing files to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Take the lead on more complex accounting assignments as needed.
- Act as a key point of contact for client queries, offering advice on year-end accounts, tax matters, and day-to-day bookkeeping.
- Proactively identify opportunities to add value to clients' businesses, including tax planning, corporate finance, and funding solutions.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between clients and internal teams to ensure a collaborative, high-quality service experience.
Requirements: - Qualified Accountant (ACCA or ICAEW) with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a practice setting.
- Experienced in managing non-audit accounts, including statutory accounts, tax returns, management accounts, and bookkeeping.
- Strong leadership skills with a background in supervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing work, and handling complex assignments.
- Client-focused approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
- Technically proficient, with strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Comfortable with cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
