Nonstop's client is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic teacher to provide maternity cover for their Year 5 and 6 class from September 2025. This is a 0.8 contract (4 days per week) and represents an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school community.

We are looking for an experienced professional who is fluent in Welsh and has a strong understanding of the Welsh curriculum. The role involves teaching all subjects with the exception of PE and Digital, which are covered by another member of staff.

Essential Requirements:

Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent communication skills

Proven understanding of the Welsh education system and curriculum

Experience teaching upper Key Stage 2 preferred

Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and pupil progress

Strong classroom management and organisational skills

Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as outlined in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions (Wales) Document

Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in line with the Welsh curriculum, differentiated to meet the needs of all learners

Assess, monitor and report on the academic and personal development of pupils

Establish a safe, inclusive and purposeful learning environment

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including staff meetings and curriculum development

Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils in accordance with the school's policies and the Local Authority's Corporate Safeguarding Policy
