Reed have partnered with a leading business in Newport, who manufacture engineered steel and fibre-reinforced construction products. This role is integral to ensuring high standards of commissioning, maintenance, and training are met according to company's policies and values. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, management skills, and the capability to lead technical support efforts.
Day-to-day of the role: - Supervise the commissioning and decommissioning of equipment, advising clients on optimal workshop arrangements and overseeing installations across multiple sites.
- Ensure all equipment documentation is current and accessible and provide troubleshooting guides.
- Lead comprehensive training sessions on equipment operation, test sample preparation, and e-ticketing implementation.
- Provide high-level technical support both onsite and remotely, managing responses to e-tickets and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Conduct site visits to supervise operations, ensuring compliance with operational and quality procedures, and optimising workshop effectiveness.
- Oversee reporting and communication, analysing equipment performance monthly and proposing improvement plans based on ROI analysis.
- Maintain regular contact with clients, monitor competitors' activities at sites, and ensure the professional representation of the company.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ related field or time served.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within customer service, quality control, or inspection, preferably on international projects.
- Strong competencies in continuous improvement, learning solutions development, and breakdown maintenance.
