Role Overview

We are looking for a Small Works Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Senior Management team, you will be responsible for managing small works quotations and projects from survey through to delivery, ensuring excellent client service, accurate pricing, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

* Survey and cost all quotes allocated by the Estimating Team within 2 weeks of receipt.

* Estimate quotes based on engineer reports.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to identify further work opportunities.

* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to gather accurate quotes and pricing.

* Complete internal quote costing templates.

* Address queries from clients, engineers, and colleagues regarding estimates.

* Book and conduct site surveys in coordination with clients.

* Review and amend quotes rejected by Directors.

* Maintain an average quote win rate target of £15,000 per week (subject to review).

* Manage quote status updates on Job Logic (Awaiting Survey → Awaiting Pricing → Ready for Typing).

* Write comprehensive quote descriptions including manpower, equipment, access, measurements, and photos, factoring in RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements).

* Ensure RAMS are completed for all applicable jobs.

* Organise and manage plant, equipment, and machinery hire/off-hire.

* Raise and assign Small Works Division jobs.

* Schedule engineers in collaboration with the Fabric team.

* Raise and manage purchase orders for suppliers.

* Follow up on material deliveries and resolve supplier delays.

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience in contracts management, estimating or small works within facilities maintenance or construction.

* Excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills.

* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

* Familiarity with Job Logic or similar job management software (preferred).

* Understanding of RAMS and health & safety documentation.

* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive.
