RG Consultancy are pleased to be working with a fantastic company who are looking Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is looking to build their career and gain more exposure to month-end and management accounts processes.
As Assistant Accountant, you'll support the Finance Manager with a wide range of duties, ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate reporting. You'll play a key role in month-end tasks and help drive efficiencies in the finance function.
The Role:Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
Accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
Balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting with budgeting and forecasting
VAT returns and other statutory submissions
Assisting with year-end audit preparation
Maintain fixed asset register
Ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
The Candidate:Previous experience in a finance role, ideally as an Assistant Accountant
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
AAT qualified or working towards ACCA/CIMA (support can be offered)
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Proactive and eager to learn, with good communication skills
