About us:

Elite Sign Solutions is a Manchester-based signage company providing design, manufacture, and installation services across the North West and beyond. We produce everything from illuminated letters and tray signs to vehicle graphics, wall branding, and shopfront signage. Our in-house team handles everything from design and production to installation and maintenance, using a wide range of advanced machinery and tools to deliver industry-leading results.

Due to steady growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking to recruit a Junior Sign Fitter or Sign Fitter's Mate to join our installation team.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to build a career in signage, construction, or installation-based work. You'll get hands-on experience across the full process and receive training on the job.

About the role:

As a Junior Sign Fitter or Sign Fitter's Mate, you will work alongside experienced team members to install a wide range of signage. The majority of your time will be spent out on site, travelling to commercial locations across Manchester and the wider North West.

On certain days, you will also be based in our workshop, learning how signage is made, gaining practical fabrication skills, and assisting with basic production tasks. We're a cross-skilled business, and we believe in developing well-rounded team members who understand every stage of the process.

About your day:

• Assisting with on-site installation of internal and external signage
• Helping to load and prepare tools, fixings, and materials for each job
• Supporting senior fitters with measuring, drilling, fixing and mounting signs
• Ensuring safe working practices are followed on site
• Maintaining tools, vehicles, and working areas to a high standard
• Learning workshop skills such as sign assembly, vinyl application, and LED preparation
• Communicating clearly with team members and clients where required

About you:

• A practical, hands-on individual who enjoys physical work
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
• Ability to take instruction and work well in a team
• Good timekeeping and a positive, can-do attitude
• A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
• Prior experience with tools, signage, construction, or related trades is advantageous but not required
