An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join a well-established residential and dementia care service set within a small, picturesque village in Kent. This is a fully supernumerary, Monday to Friday role offering the chance to focus on leadership, quality, and continuous improvement without the pressures of being rostered on shift.

This welcoming and thoughtfully run home provides high-quality residential and dementia care in a warm, supportive environment where residents feel safe, valued, and truly at home. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager to maintain and enhance these standards.

The Role
Working closely with the Registered Manager, the Deputy Manager will support the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and team performance are consistently achieved. This is a leadership-focused position with a strong emphasis on quality, governance, and staff development.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the overall management and smooth operation of the home
Leading, mentoring, and developing the care team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies
Monitoring care plans, risk assessments, and clinical documentation
Driving quality improvements and supporting audits and inspections
Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture within the home
Building strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a confident and compassionate leader with a strong background in residential and dementia care.

They will demonstrate:

Previous experience in a Deputy Manager or senior leadership role within a care home setting
A solid understanding of dementia care and person-centred practice
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A proactive and hands-on approach to supporting both residents and staff
A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and improving lives
