Quality Control Supervisor
Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00 | Friday 07:00-13:00

Our client is looking to appoint a Quality Control Supervisor to lead inspection activities within a well-established manufacturing site in West Yorkshire. This role is focused on ensuring consistent product quality across the shop floor while developing a small team of inspectors and supporting continuous improvement.

The Quality Control Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high standards across products used in demanding, high-specification applications, where accuracy and consistency are critical.

Role overview
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Control Supervisor will oversee inspection across incoming materials, in-process checks and finished goods. The role combines team leadership with hands-on quality involvement, working closely with production and engineering to ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively.

This is a visible position within the business, with regular involvement in audits and interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

* Lead and coordinate daily inspection activities across the shop floor

* Allocate work and support inspectors to meet quality and production requirements

* Ensure inspection results and documentation are accurate and up to date

* Identify trends or recurring issues and support preventative actions

* Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns

* Contribute to audit preparation and support compliance with quality standards

* Train, coach and develop the inspection team to improve consistency and capability

Requirements

* Experience in quality control or inspection within manufacturing

* Previous experience supervising or supporting a team

* Good understanding of inspection methods and measurement equipment

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

* Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving

* Comfortable working with data or trends to support improvements

* Confident communicator across shop floor and technical teams
