Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

A well-established UK-based engineering firm, operating within multiple high-integrity industries, is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support site operations, production uptime, and continuous improvement efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected business with strong technical heritage and modern working practices.

What You'll Be Doing:

Conducting reactive and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment
Supporting the development and execution of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM)
Diagnosing and repairing faults across mechanical and electrical systems
Manufacturing simple replacement parts using lathes, mills, and welding equipment
Assisting with machinery moves, installations, and modifications
Working at height and operating Forklift Trucks and Mobile Elevated Platforms (training provided)
Supporting and supervising third-party contractors as needed
Reporting faults and maintenance concerns to supervisors and logging via the in-house maintenance system
Installing, inspecting, and repairing 110V, 240V, and 415V three-phase electrical services
Reading and working from electrical and mechanical drawings
Ensuring adherence to current Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and maintaining high workplace standards

What We're Looking For:

Time-served engineer or equivalent qualification in mechanical fitting
Formal qualification in IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar maintenance engineering role
Strong understanding of machinery installation and process improvement
Familiarity with conduit, armoured cable, tray and trunking installations
Comfortable using a range of testing equipment and interpreting engineering drawings
Multi-skilled across mechanical and basic electrical disciplines
Strong understanding of quality, health & safety, and housekeeping best practices
Valid UK Driver's Licence
