Job Description:

We are currently working with a leading manufacturing business in Bradford, who are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their growing team. This newly created role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong procurement experience to take full ownership of purchasing responsibilities for their commercial fit-out operations.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing for a wide range of indirect and direct materials, including consumables, fabricated parts, and service contracts. You will work closely with internal teams, including production, estimating, and procurement, ensuring that purchasing activities align with project needs and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* End-to-End Purchasing for commercial fit-out side of the business.

* Manage both direct (raw materials) and indirect purchasing (utilities, leases, insurance).

* Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships, identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate contracts.

* Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, terms, and delivery.

* Work closely with the Estimating & Purchasing Manager to ensure alignment with production schedules.

* Manage and track supplier lead times and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.

* Ensure supplier compliance with company standards and quality requirements.

Ideal Candidate:

* Manufacturing Purchasing Experience: Strong background in purchasing within a manufacturing or production environment.

* Experience in Shopfitting or similar industries is highly desirable.

* Autonomous with the ability to work independently and manage the full purchasing cycle.

* Strong Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating supplier contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.

* Comfortable working with varied suppliers, including managing both UK and overseas supply chains.

* Ability to engage with stakeholders and collaborate across departments.

Company & Benefits:

* Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

* Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays + wellbeing day, salary sacrifice pension scheme, on-site parking

* Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 08:45 - 17:00; Friday, 08:45 - 16:15. 36.75 hours per week.
