Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 & 6)
Location: Chesterfield Area
Availability: Minimum 3 Regular Days per Week
Salary: £85 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

Are you an experienced and committed Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in upper Key Stage 2? Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking dedicated TAs to work across a range of Chesterfield primary schools, providing targeted support to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, especially in preparation for SATs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a classroom setting and understands the academic and emotional needs of older primary learners. You'll work closely with class teachers to deliver interventions, support small groups, and ensure pupils feel confident and prepared for their end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored academic support to Year 5 and 6 pupils, with a focus on SATs preparation

Assist in delivering targeted interventions for Maths and English

Support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis

Help maintain a positive, focused learning environment

Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to track progress and adapt support

Requirements:

At least 3 regular weekdays of availability

Experience supporting children in upper KS2 (Year 5/6)

Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly SATs content

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
