Teaching Personnel is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and nurturing primary school in the M45 area, who are seeking a committed Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to make a meaningful impact across the Upper KS2 curriculum for the remainder of the academic year.
About the Role
You will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging, wellstructured lessons that support pupils' academic progress and personal development. The successful teacher will be confident delivering the KS2 curriculum, able to establish a positive and productive classroom environment, and passionate about helping pupils thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum
- Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching where required
- Provide targeted support to pupils with a range of abilities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, including SEN staff and subject leads
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
- Maintain positive relationships with parents and carers
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable but not essential)
- A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- A committed, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
