Behaviour Specialist

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the skills to support students with challenging behaviours in a calm, consistent, and positive way? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Enfield is seeking a Behaviour Specialist to join their team as soon as possible. This part-time, temporary role is ideal for someone experienced in working with young people across Key Stages 3 to 5 who need additional behavioural support to reach their full potential.

The school has a strong reputation for pastoral care and inclusion, with a dedicated SEN team and leadership who are committed to every student's success. The ideal candidate will work closely with classroom teachers, SEN staff and pastoral leads to support students presenting with SEMH needs, low self-esteem, anxiety, or disruptive behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs
• Develop and implement personalised behaviour strategies and support plans
• Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Build trusting relationships with students and encourage their engagement and personal development
• Monitor and record progress, communicating regularly with staff and parents

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with secondary-age students with challenging behaviour or SEMH
• Resilience, empathy, and a calm approach in high-pressure situations
• A proactive, hands-on attitude and strong communication skills
• Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management (desirable but not essential)

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who truly believes in the power of education and the importance of tailored behavioural support. The school is easily accessible by public transport and offers a friendly, supportive staff culture.
