About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Mechanical Refurbishment Technician to join their team in Hull. This role focuses on delivering high-quality mechanical refurbishment and repair services within a workshop environment. It is ideal for a hands-on individual with strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver professional mechanical refurbishment services to customers
Roll repair and refurbishment
Die refurbishment
Carry out general workshop duties, including:
Dismantling and assembly of mechanical components
Identifying damaged or worn parts
Replacing bearings and other key components
Operating and programming CNC equipment

Technical Skills & Experience

Mechanical qualification or strong hands-on mechanical experience
Experience in a machine shop or similar environment
Knowledge of CNC equipment, including vertical grinders and countersink machines
Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and verniers
Good understanding of mechanical systems (e.g. gearboxes, bearings, seals, lubricants)
Ability to read and work from technical/composite drawings
Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
