Children's Residential Support Worker

Birmingham- B14

£12.21 per hour ( sleep in's £50 flat rate)

7am- 7.30pm

Duties/Responsibilities:

* To assist in providing a safe and nurturing home environment for children and young people, appropriate to their age, understanding and identified needs.

* Working with children who have emotional behavioural difficutiles (EBD)

* Provide support with all aspects of their daily lives and encourage them to engage in decision making relating to their care.

* To encourage and support all young people to take responsibility for their self-care and personal hygiene appropriate to their age.

* To ensure that good health and welfare is promoted and that the needs of young people are identified, and services provided to meet these.

* To develop positive relationships with young people and enable them to develop their existing skills and learn new ones.

* To act as a positive role model and actively prepare and support young people when leaving care to enable them to make a successful transition into adulthood.

* To maintain a regular system of recording in connection with each young person, to be involved in the development and implementation of individual care plans and to provide reports as and when required
