We are looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join our client's team in the Stoke-on-Trent area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about preparing healthy, nutritious meals and working in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities of this Cook role:

Plan, prepare, and cook healthy, balanced, and nutritious meals

Create varied menus that meet dietary requirements and budget guidelines

Manage food preparation and kitchen duties independently or as part of a team

Ensure high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness

Maintain awareness of allergens and ensure safe food handling practices

Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering within budget

Follow all food safety regulations and procedures

Skills & Experience Required for this Cook role:

Previous experience in catering or a kitchen environment

Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety standards (Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred)

Understanding of dietary requirements and allergen awareness

Experience in menu planning and budgeting

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good organisational and time management skills

Full, valid UK driving licence

Details for this Cook role:

Hourly rate: £12.20, increasing to £13.12 in April

Monday to Friday 9am-1pm

Supportive working environment

Permanent position for the right candidate

Location: Stoke-on-Trent
