The Role of the HGV Technician  Working within a highly skilled and supportive workshop team, you will maintain and repair a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles.

Your responsibilities will include:

Servicing and pre-planned maintenance

Reactive repairs and defect rectification

Full vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer equipment

Brake, clutch, gearbox, engine and electrical repairs

MOT preparation and presentation

Trailer and drawbar maintenance

General workshop duties to a high professional standard

This is a hands-on role suited to a technician who enjoys variety and working on all makes and models.

What We're Looking For in a HGV Technician 
Proven experience as an HGV Technician

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

Good working knowledge of trailers

Class 1 licence desirable but not essential

Professional attitude and commitment to quality
