Key Worker / Support Worker / Youth Worker - Supported Accommodation (16-17 Year Olds)

We are currently recruiting for passionate and committed Key Workers / Support Workers / Youth Workers to join our growing team supporting young people aged 16-17 within a Supported Accommodation setting in Mile End, London.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, helping them develop independence, life skills, and emotional resilience in a safe and supportive environment.

About the Role:
You will be working closely with young people who may have experienced trauma, instability, or challenges in their lives. Your role will be to provide practical, emotional, and social support to help them transition into independent living.

Key Responsibilities:

* Acting as a Key Worker for allocated young people, developing and implementing tailored support plans

* Supporting young people with daily living skills including budgeting, cooking, education, and employment

* Promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive behaviour

* Building positive, professional relationships and acting as a positive role model

* Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all young people at all times

* Maintaining accurate records, reports, and case notes in line with regulatory requirements

* Liaising with social workers, local authorities, and other professionals

* Supporting young people to attend appointments, education, or training

Shift Pattern:

* Full flexibility required

* Mixture of days, nights, and weekends on a rota basis

Requirements:

* Minimum 1 year experience working with young people or within a supported accommodation / care setting

* Strong understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people

* Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Flexible, reliable, and committed

* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Important:

* Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK

* No sponsorship is available for this role

Desirable:

* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care / Children & Young People (or equivalent)

* Experience working within Ofsted-regulated services
