Production Operatives - SMT and Assembly Operatives
Tameside, Greater Manchester

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for experienced Production Operatives to join a growing manufacturing business in Tameside. We have opportunities in both SMT and Assembly departments, offering long-term roles with competitive pay and shift premiums.
Shifts Available (39 hours per week):
Day Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
Rotating Early/Late: 6:00am-2:15pm / 2:15pm-10:30pm (15% premium)
Continental Days: 4 on / 4 off, 7:00am-7:00pm (20% premium)
Roles & Responsibilities:
SMT Operative
* Operating and monitoring automated SMT production lines
* Setting up machinery and reporting faults
* Loading components and supporting production processes
* Carrying out quality checks and inspections
* Following technical drawings accurately
Assembly Operative
* Wiring and assembling electrical components
* Reading and following technical drawings
* Testing products to ensure quality standards
* Supporting production and completing basic rework
* Packing and preparing items for dispatch
All Roles Include:
* Maintaining high health and safety standards
* Keeping work areas clean and organised
* Working as part of a team to meet production targets
Pay Rates:
* SMT Operative: From £13.19 per hour
* Assembly Operative: From £12.51 per hour
* Shift premiums applied where applicable
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of experience in SMT or assembly manufacturing
* Ability to read and follow technical drawings
* Attention to detail and ability to meet production targets
* Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
