We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team in Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire and nurture the musical talents of secondary education students.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring music lessons that cater to the abilities of all students.
- Encourage students’ musical development and appreciation of music across a variety of genres.
- Assess and record students’ progress, providing feedback and setting targets to facilitate improvement.
- Organise and lead school music events, ensembles, choirs, and performances.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into a broader curriculum.
- Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in musical education, such as a degree in Music or Music Education.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Music.
- Prior experience teaching Music at the secondary education level.
- Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and a wide range of musical styles.
- Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments and conducting ensembles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and work collaboratively with staff and parents.
