We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team in Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire and nurture the musical talents of secondary education students.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring music lessons that cater to the abilities of all students.
  • Encourage students’ musical development and appreciation of music across a variety of genres.
  • Assess and record students’ progress, providing feedback and setting targets to facilitate improvement.
  • Organise and lead school music events, ensembles, choirs, and performances.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into a broader curriculum.
  • Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in musical education, such as a degree in Music or Music Education.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Music.
  • Prior experience teaching Music at the secondary education level.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and a wide range of musical styles.
  • Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments and conducting ensembles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and work collaboratively with staff and parents.
