SALARY: £23000 - £25000/annum

Our client is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their accounts department, this is a stand alone role that offers great autonomy, working alongside the wider team. This is a high volume and busy role that offers great opportunity and fulfilment for the right candidate.
As the Purchase Ledger Clerk you will:
* Process all purchase ledger invoices onto SAGE
* Reconcile supplier statements to the ledger
* Liaise with business units suppliers to resolve invoice queries
* Manage the goods in purchase order report
* Provide weekly/monthly purchase ledger reporting to Directors
* complete weekly and monthly payment runs
* Open supplier accounts and complete paperwork for credit accounts
* Maintain accuracy of supplier accounts and bank details
* Reconcile process monthly credit card and petty cash expenditure
* Process supplier bank payments
* Reconcile Supplier Accounts,
* Update procedures and keep up to date with payment fraud prevention
The ideal Purchase Ledger Clerk will:
* Have previous accounts experience ideally within Purchase Ledger
* AAT level 2 or Book-keeping qualification would be an advantage
* Have knowledge of accounting software, Sage or similar
* Have Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
* Have Intermediate excel skills
* be confident in their ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Have clear communication skills
* Have a can do, problem solving attitude with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers.
