Job Title: On-Line Testing Receptionist

Trust Location: Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Location: Churchill Hospital, Old Road, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7LE

Payrate: £11.85 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

Shifts: Monday to Friday (possibly Saturdays) 37.5 hours per week

Hours: Monday -Thursday 9:00-17:00, Friday 8:00 - 16:00 and if Saturdays 8:30- 13:30

About the Trust

Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) is a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK. They provide a wide range of clinical services, specialist services (including cardiac, cancer, musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation) medical education, training, and research.

What you'll be responsible for:

* Coordinate requests from patients and clinical staff to book appointments into Inform and other systems at times appropriate to individual patient request, clinical priority and procedure using a knowledge of clinical procedures and booking systems to resolve appointment arrangement conflicts and minimise patient journeys.

* Maintain high levels of customer service at all times delivering compassionate excellence.

* Provide appropriate information and instructions to patients and carers and healthcare staff regarding a range of sexual health department procedures.

* Enter relevant clinical and demographic information into clinical database system (Inform) or other PC based systems (e.g. Microsoft Access/Excel).

* Arrange patient transport/translators where appropriate in line with Trusts protocol.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

* An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.

* Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.

* A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You'll have the following skills/experience:

* Experience in similar role

* Able to work independently and as a member of a team

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

* Excellent organisation skills

* NHS experience

* Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
