Temporary School Caretaker – Purley

We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible Temporary School Caretaker to support the day-to-day operations of a school site in Purley. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a practical skillset and a proactive approach.

Role Details:

• Location: Purley, South London
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour (PAYE)
• Start Date: Immediate start available
• Contract Type: Temporary, with the potential to transition into a permanent position

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times
• Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks
• Opening and closing the school buildings as required
• Supporting with deliveries and site logistics
• Assisting with health and safety compliance across the site
• Travelling between multiple school sites as part of daily duties

Essential Requirements:

• A valid UK driving licence is required due to responsibilities across multiple locations
• Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, or maintenance role is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• A commitment to safeguarding and maintaining a secure school environment
