Teaching Assistant

We are seeking well-qualified and highly competent individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants. We are offering multiple roles, welcoming candidates with general TA experience as well as specialisations in EAL, Sport, and SEND (including 1:1 support).

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work effectively with pupils across the primary age range, supporting literacy and numeracy development.
  • Run targeted intervention groups to address specific gaps in pupils' learning.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and attainment.
  • Engage in effective communication and collaboration within the team.
  • Respond positively to feedback and guidance from colleagues.
  • Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities to enhance skills.
  • Support the teaching of phonics and early reading, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new methods.
  • Uphold and promote the school’s Trauma Informed culture and relationships policy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in managing small groups for educational interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and adapt to feedback.
  • Interest in CPD and skill enhancement.
  • Understanding or willingness to learn about phonics and early reading strategies.
  • Supportive of inclusive and trauma-informed educational practices.
