Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Manchester
Duration: 2 weeks
Working Hours: 7:00am - 7:00pm (12-hour shifts)
Day Rate: £400 per day (Ltd/Umbrella)
Start Date: Immediate or short notice

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for a short-term contract on a high-profile logistics distribution redevelopment project in Manchester. The successful candidate will be working directly with a major Tier 1 distributor as part of a critical infrastructure upgrade. This is a fast-paced site requiring an engaged, professional safety presence throughout the day shift.

While this contract is initially for 2 weeks, there is strong potential for further work on upcoming phases or related projects with this Tier 1 client, subject to performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits

Deliver toolbox talks and site inductions to operatives

*

Monitor and manage compliance with H&S legislation and internal policies

*

Take ownership of lifting operations oversight, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and competently

*

Collaborate with site management, subcontractors, and client representatives to drive a proactive safety culture

*

Maintain accurate and detailed site safety documentation and reports

Requirements:

*

NEBOSH Certificate (minimum)

*

Prior experience as a Health & Safety Advisor on construction or logistics projects

*

Strong understanding and practical oversight of lifting operations

*

Confident communicator with the ability to engage site teams and report to senior stakeholders

*

Able to commit to 12-hour shifts across the 2-week period
