Mill Operative (with Forklift Licence)
Location: Aylesford
Salary: £29,120 basic (40 hours/week) - OTE £34,000 for a 47.5-hour week
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (occasional Saturdays available)

About the Role
We're looking for a Mill Operative to join a small, friendly, and experienced team of 10 in Aylesford. This is a hands-on role in a busy, loud, and dusty production environment, where teamwork and attention to detail are key.

Working in a team of two, you'll use your Counterbalance forklift licence to locate and move stock (up to 25kg bags) and manually load materials into mixers. You'll follow production schedules to complete up to 10 mix runs per day, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

Locating and moving stock using a Counterbalance forklift (approx. 20% of the role)
Physically handling and mixing materials (lifting 25kg bags repeatedly)
Following daily production schedules and recipes
Measuring and mixing materials with precision
Working to output targets and production deadlines
Maintaining clean, safe, and tidy work areas
Supporting your team and contributing to a positive, collaborative workplace
What we're looking for

A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Methodical, process-driven, and reliable under pressure
Strong attention to detail and basic numerical/reading skills
Able to multi-task and think on your feet in a fast-paced environment
A good communicator and team player who takes pride in their work
