Financial Controller: A qualified, ambitious, decision-maker who relishes line management is sought by our award-winning client to fulfil this newly created function.

Reporting to the Finance Director and with responsibility for two colleagues, the Financial Controller is responsible for the financial controls of the Group. This will include responsibility for all of the Groups Ledgers ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and approved.

Financial Controller Core Duties:

• Setting of the Group’s Annual and Quarterly Revised Budgets.
• Monthly Management Reporting.
• Responsible for the stewardship of the Company’s Assets.
• Responsible that all Liabilities are accurately recorded on a timely basis and that they have been properly approved and paid in accordance with terms agreed with suppliers.
• Ensure that Budget Holders appropriately set their Target Expenditure and their Performance of Actual Spend to Budget is recorded.
• Weekly forecasting the cash funds available to the Company to ensure that company has sufficient funds available and to reduce its borrowings.
• Manage the year-end Audit and submission of Tax Returns to HMRC and Financial Reporting to Companies House.

Financial Controller Key Skills & Attributes:

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
• An excellent communicator at all levels within the business.
• Possess good planning and organisational skills.
• Be self-motivated and capable of thinking out of the box.
• Have proven systems and processes skills.
• Not only be adaptable to change but be a key driver of change.
• Have a flexible approach to all situations.
• Be able to make decisions and be comfortable owning the outcome.
