Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Data Centre Project - Central London

Location:         London Bridge (Hybrid working available)

Contract:         6 Months (Immediate Start Preferred)

Rate:                £48 per hour (Ltd / Outside IR35 subject to assessment)

A leading international building services consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their specialist data centre design team on a 6-month freelance contract.

Based out of modern offices in London Bridge, you will be working on a major hyperscale data centre development across RIBA Stages 3-5.

Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design packages including LV distribution, lighting, power, containment and resilience systems

Coordination with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, sustainability and BIM

Attend design team meetings and manage client interface

Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes and project specifications

Review and sign-off drawings, calculations and technical submissions

Requirements

Minimum 7+ years' experience in electrical building services design

Strong data centre project background essential (Tier III / Tier IV)

Proficient in industry software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Revit (desirable)

Solid understanding of power infrastructure, redundancy and critical systems

Excellent communication and leadership skills
