SEND Learning Support Assistant - Make a Difference Every Day!

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs to thrive and reach their full potential? Could you encourage learners in mainstream or SEN that need a little extra support?

Join our dedicated and friendly team as a SEND Learning Support Assistant and help transform lives through education.

About the Role:

We are looking for a caring, resilient and proactive individual to support students with a range of special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning delays. You will work closely with class teachers, the SENDCo and other professionals to ensure our pupils receive personalised, inclusive and nurturing support both in and out of the classroom.

We have roles in mainstream and SEND specific provisions for permanent roles and long term placements. We also have ad hoc daily roles available for the next academic year, so please do get in touch. We have roles from nursery and Early Years up to Post 16.

Your Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND.

* Work as a whole classroom assistant to support the teacher.

* Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual needs.

* Foster positive relationships to promote confidence, independence and wellbeing.

* Assist with personal care and mobility (where necessary).

* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and families.

* Contribute to EHCP reviews, behaviour plans and learning targets.

We're Looking For:

* Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or otherwise).

* A calm, empathetic and patient approach.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

* Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE/NVQ Level 2/3, or willingness to train).

We Offer:

* A supportive consultant, available 7 days a week.

* Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

* A rewarding role where no two days are the same.

* The chance to make a real, lasting impact on young lives
