About the role-Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

You will be working with Primary aged students (3-11years) with an EHCP statement of SEN and Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Specific Learning Difficulties, within this excellent mixed mainstream Primary school's resource provision. Many students within the provision also have speech and language needs and are helped with aids such as PECS and Makaton to help communicate with both staff an their peers. Individuals with experience using non-verbal communication tools are highly desirable for this role. You will work under the class teacher to help deliver programmes to students with additional needs. Your role may at times include elements such as personal care and behaviour management so comfortability with toileting and changing students is essential.

This mixed primary mainstream school have an Additionally Resourced Provision that has 21 places for children with Complex Learning Difficulties; this includes ASD, MLD & SLD. These are children who need additional support as well as support in the mainstream classes. They ensure that at all times students feel included, valued and respected and are supported to achieve their very best. The school is a short walk from West Ealing station, serviced by the Elizabeth Line, Chiltern Railways and Great Western Railways so is easily accessible from across London.
