Are you a caring, adaptable, and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference for children with Autism (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)? Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils in a Osted rated Good primary school in B11. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with ASD and SLCN
  • Implementing personalised learning strategies to meet individual needs
  • Using Makaton, visual timetables, and other SEN communication tools
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
  • Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting children with ASD, SLCN, or other SEN needs
  • Level 3 in Childcare, EYFS, or equivalent is desirable
  • Strong behaviour management skills and adaptable approach
  • Patient, nurturing, and confident in delivering 1:1 support
  • Driving licence is desirable
