Teaching Assistant - SEND School (Sale)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school in Sale, who are looking to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful difference in their education.

The Role:

Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH

Working on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to support learning and development

Assisting the class teacher with delivering tailored and engaging lessons

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being

Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

The School:

A specialist SEND setting with a strong focus on pupil-centred learning

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (in school or care settings)

Be patient, empathetic and resilient

Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills

Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
