JOB TYPE: Permanent

SALARY: £24,745 per annum Plus car and commision

Andy File Associates Limited are working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position

Main Responsibilities:

Engineering Aim to achieve satisfactory level of territory management, including:
Clearing all quarterly preventative maintenance (PM) on individual area
Assistance with clearing PM’s on vacant areas with the aim of achieving a company quarterly zero PM position
Achieve and maintain company breakdown SLA targets
Diagnose and repair faults, in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner
Achieve and maintain a minimum 50% first time fix rate
Respond to urgent requests for assistance out of area as required

Sales

Commercial awareness, including:
Achieve quarterly supplies sales targets as set by the Operations Director
Achieve quarterly contribution sales targets as set by the Operations Director
Submit the required number of leads per quarter as set by the Operations Director
Show an understanding of sales opportunities for the company’s products and services

Administration

Maintain accurate administration and paperwork records, including:
Maintain individual engineering customer record cards
Complete written reports and submit them in a timely manner as requested
Be able to work under pressure and maintain a calm and rational approach in all situations
Implement operator training to customers with different skill levels and requirements
Motivate and encourage customers to use equipment correctly

General

Be a fully integrated member of the engineering team, including:
Being a positive and motivated at all times
Present a positive image of self and company through enthusiasm, attitude, approach and appearance
Responding to change and future requirements by being flexible in attitude and approach
Assist the Engineering Regional Managers and Customer Support Manager as required

Knowledge: –

Good Electrical/Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of electronics (previous mail room equipment engineers would be advantageous)
Complete company probation period
Complete company engineering training programme
Aim to have a good understanding and knowledge of the company’s product range and specifications within two years
Be able to install the full range of the company’s products
Be able to show good territory management
Understanding of the company’s administration processes

Industry recognised engineering qualification
Good fault diagnosis skills and structured approach
Good fact finding skills
Commercial awareness
Aim to achieve quarterly/yearly supplies and contribution sales targets
Aim to achieve lead generation targets
Structured and organized approach
Competent use of PC’s and email
Good interpersonal/empathy building skills
Good communication skills

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm (this role is field based so flexibility is required). No requirement for out of hours/on call

Holidays: 20 + 8 Bank Holidays (increasing to 25 + 8 Bank Holidays, 1 day per year completed)
