Crawley, RH10, UK
Apply Now

Company: ENGIINIA LTD

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £40000 - £49500/annum standby, overtime

My client is a well-established UK lift services company—founded in 1987—that provides a full range of lift and escalator solutions across the South and Midlands. They're actively looking to recruit for a brand new position, a Lift Service & Minor Repair Engineer covering the Sussex, Surrey and parts of Kent route.

The role will involve the following duties;

* Inspecting lift systems during routine service visits to identify wear, faults, or potential safety issues.

* Completing minor repairs such as replacing door rollers, adjusting brakes, and fixing push buttons to maintain lift functionality.

* Logging service findings and updates in maintenance records and customer logbooks to ensure compliance and traceability.

* Liaising with clients and site contacts to report work carried out and advise on any recommended future actions.

* Responding to minor breakdowns and callouts within agreed timeframes to minimise lift downtime and disruption.

You will be assigned to the company's callout rota, covering the South of England, on a 1 week in 5 basis, and be required to attend to emergency calls. Due to the nature of many of this company's clients, it is rare to receive calls in antisocial hours.

The position requires the following competencies to be considered;

* An NVQ 3, J-Modules or BTEC in Lift Engineering.

* A full UK Driving License.

* Strong fault-finding skills working on both traction and hydraulic lift equipment.

The role is offering an excellent remuneration package, including;

* A basic salary of up to £49,500pa.

* Company vehicle, fuel card and all uniform and tooling required.

* The chance to progress via internal training schemes and paid qualification routes.

* Stanby fees and callout fees.

* Plenty of overtime, for those who want it.

* 25 days' annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.

* A company pension scheme.

If this sounds of interest, and you would like to discuss the role in more detail, please apply with your most recent CV; we will be in touch to offer more information on the role prior to being submitted to the client
