Job Role: Maths Teacher
Location: Newham & Tower Hamlets
Salary: £185 - £285 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Permanent, Long Term

Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher:

Teach Maths across Key Stages 3, 4 and potentially KS5
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons
Support students to achieve and exceed their academic targets
Create a positive and focused classroom environment
Mark and assess work in line with school policies
Support the wider maths department in curriculum planning
Attend department meetings and contribute to whole school improvement
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
Requirements for the Maths Teacher role:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Experience teaching maths in UK secondary schools
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum in maths
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A passion for mathematics and helping students succeed
Commitment to ongoing professional development
The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
