Cover Supervisor & Learning Resources and Education Centre Assistant

Salary: £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)

We are working in partnership with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Ealing to recruit a Cover Supervisor & LREC Assistant for a full-time role starting this September. This is a fantastic dual opportunity for a confident individual with a passion for education, classroom management, and literacy support.

This is a hybrid role combining responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor and a Learning Resources and Education Centre (LREC) Assistant. You will provide classroom supervision in the absence of teaching staff and support the day-to-day running of the school's library and learning resource centre.

As a Cover Supervisor:

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on task
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy
Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviourAs an LREC Assistant:

Support students in accessing and using library and learning resources
Organise and maintain books, digital resources, and displays
Promote a positive reading culture across the school
Supervise students in the LREC during study periods, breaks, and lunchThe Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience working with young people in a school setting
Be confident in managing a classroom independently
Be organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting literacy
Have good IT skills and be comfortable with library systems (training provided)
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate What We Offer:
