Are you a passionate and experienced English teacher with a talent for delivering creative and engaging lessons?

Supply Desk are working in partnership with a popular secondary school in Sittingbourne, seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role involves teaching English across KS3 and KS4, with shared planning and marking responsibilities. There is potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, creative, and engaging English lessons that inspire students across KS3 and KS4.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and academic success.
Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a focused and respectful learning atmosphere.
Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help them achieve their best.
Collaborate with colleagues on planning and marking to ensure consistency and quality across the department.
Engage with parents, carers, and staff to support students' learning and development.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching English at the secondary level.
A strong track record of delivering engaging and creative lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to professional development and keeping up to date with best teaching practices.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
