SEMH Secondary Teacher, Huddersfield HD1

Salary £28k - £38K per annum (actual salary)

Term time only - Temporary to permanent role 

Core Education are proud to be working with a privately funded SEND school, based in Huddersfield, who are looking for a specialist SEN/ SEMH Teacher to start in September. The school offers a safe and supportive environment for young people aged between 5 and 18 with Autism and/or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). There young people may have a number of diagnoses including ASD, ADHD, FASD, anxiety and/or, communication and interaction, cognition, and learning needs.

The school are looking for a candidate who is able to teach a year 10 class and can teach English or Science. This is preferred, but not necessary.

Requirements:

Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
Experience teaching SEN/ SEMH
Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures
The right to work in the UK
An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to have one processed)
Two professional references covering the last 2 years
The ability to teach English or Science (preferred but not necessary)
