Job Description

FLS International is seeking a Human Resources and Payroll Administrator for our corporate office in Pasadena, CA, to manage bi-weekly payroll and HR practices at the corporate office and five campuses. Reporting to the CFO, the HR and Payroll Administrator will assist the CFO in several tasks, including:

  • Preparing bi-weekly payroll
  • Maintaining employee records as they relate to payroll (pay rate changes, health care changes, tax information changes)
  • On-boarding new employees
  • Processing accurate and timely year-end reporting (W2, 1099, etc.)
  • Supporting supervisors in the interpretation and organization of HR policies and practices.
  • Liaising with our health care advisor
  • Maintaining electronic and paper employee information, including employee files, in an efficient and secure manner
  • Assisting with other Accounting functions (AP/AR/invoice review, bank and credit card reconciliations, etc.) as requested

Minimum requirements:

AA/AS in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field required, BA preferred

Minimum of two years experience in HR and/or Accounting

Understanding of policies and regulations related to state and local employment law

Proficiency in Excel

Experience with Paychex or ADP
