Must have experience in the automotive manufacturing industry to be considered.
This position will serve as the project leader in the program management and APQP process.
5-8 years experience in manufacturing/tooling with at least three years management experience.
Responsible for directing Program managers, Industrial engineers, Process engineers, Coordinators, etc.
Responsible for product design, prototyping, project management, packaging, design control, process control, manufacturing capabilities, quoting, value analysis/value engineering and documentation control.
Coordinate activities with outside customers and suppliers.
Monitor the effectiveness of the QSP systems.
Access capital requirements and prepare expenditure lists with justification documentation.
Develop and maintain CAD customer interface and system management.
Prepare and present technical presentations.
Deals with customers on major engineering issues.
Monitor APQP, PPAP, prototype and tooling build timelines and compliance to customer requirements.
Oversee the Continuous Improvement program.
Monitor and liaison with the tool room, maintenance, Quality and production departments.
Performance management, discipline and performance appraisals.
