The CNC Programmer Role:

This role will focus on creating and optimising CNC programs using SolidWorks and SolidCAM, supporting the production of high-quality machined components.

Key responsibilities for the CNC Setter role:

* For the role of CNC Programmer, you will create programs for the machine shop from route card and customer specifications

* To be responsible for the security and organisation and production of the CNC programs with CAD/CAM software

* You will review existing programs when required to increase efficiency in production for the role of CNC Programmer

* For the role of CNC Programmer, you will suggest new training/new technology programs as appropriate

* Develop tooling set up sheets for all CNC programs to assist in production

What We're Looking For:

* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment

* Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM programming

* Experience with SolidWorks and SolidCAM (or similar CAM software)

* Understanding of machining processes including milling and turning

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models

* Experience with multi-axis machining (3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis)

* Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining optimisation
