Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing Company in their search for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work in their facility in Wrexham.

For the successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer our client is offering:

i. Role is predominately on a Day shift, however, this could change to shifts, see below
ii. £29,000 to £31,000 Days 8-5
iii. £33,900 - £36,000 Shifts 6-2 / 2-10.10
iv. £37,700 - £40,300 Nights 10-6
v. Permanent position
vi. Pension
vii. Free parking

The role - Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
i. To follow established maintenance systems and procedures
ii. To recommend, establish and implement effective preventative maintenance procedures for cap-ital equipment where there do not currently exist
iii. To effectively support all the business initiatives which will move the business forward towards a world class manufacturing one. Initiatives would include ThinkSAFE, find it fix it, 5s, kaizen
iv. To plan, schedule and undertake routine maintenance work as required and instructed
v. To support Production teams by responding quickly to reports of equipment breakdown or failure and ensuring all repairs are undertaken effectively and with minimal disruption to normal production
vi. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the PLC controlled, and other specialist equipment in order to provide full fault diagnosis, support and repair
Vii. To undertake critical spares analyses for key items of production equipment and to ensure that adequate stocks of spare components are maintained
Viii. Will be required to work out of normal production hours as and when necessary, in order to minimise disruption to production.

What our client is looking for in a Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
i. Must be a good communicator and able to operate to a high standard within a team-based environment.
ii. Must be able to demonstrate initiative to resolve problems and capable of working alone
iii. Flexible on working hours and conditions
iv. Proven experience of electrical repair of production equipment is essential
v. A minimum of five years' work experience within a manufacturing environment is essential
vi. Good level of computer literacy.
vii. Knowledge of plc's
Viii. Formal qualification in electrical engineering would be preferred but significant relevant experience
will also be considered
Viiii. City & Guilds and 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
X. City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
Xi. Educated to at least GCSE grade C standard or equivalent.
