Social Worker - Adult Social Care - Herefordshire

Our client, Herefordshire County Council, is seeking Social Worker for its adult social care services – are you interested? Or can you refer a friend for £250 if placed?

1st role - Carrying out Care Act Reviews, pay rate is £35 umbrella.

The role will involve the following:

  • You will be expected to complete 4 – 5 reviews a week, depending on complexity. 
  • Herefordshire Adult Social Care uses the Mosaic client database so experience with this system would be an advantage, but training will be provided as required.
  • We are currently working a hybrid system of part office/part home-based working.
  • There is a requirement to be able to work face to face in the office in Hereford and be able to travel throughout the county as required, for at least 2 days each week.
  • You will be given autonomy in the booking of visits for the days in office and then writing-up on the work from home days. 
  • This role will initially span for a 3 month period.

2nd role – South Locality team, pay rate is £35 umbrella.

The role will involve the following:

  • Location: Ross-on-Wye/Ledbury/Hereford 
  • Care Act 2014 & the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Safeguarding Enquiries
  • Must be person-centred, safe and effective with a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for the individuals you support.
  • You will also be familiar with a strengths-based approach and able to employ this in supporting clients to maintain independence and build on community networks of support as much as possible.
  • Herefordshire Adult Social Care uses the Mosaic client database, training will be provided as required.
  • Hybrid working

Requirements of the role:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Fully Social Work England registered
  • Must have strong post-qualified experience in adult social care
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of eligibility under the Care Act 2014 & the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Experience of completing Safeguarding Enquiries is also essential. 
  • You will also be familiar with a strengths-based approach and able to employ this in reviewing clients against on-going eligible care and support needs.
  • Excellent communication and written skills are essential.
