Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Inspector

Location: Huddersfield (Yorkshire)
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time | £65k - £75k + Package (Experience Depending)

We are supporting a key client with the appointment of a SHE Inspector to join a dedicated compliance team, covering projects across the North of England. This role involves regular site visits, occasional national travel, and overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

Promote a proactive health and safety culture across all projects.
Conduct thorough SHE compliance inspections with same-day reports and clear improvement plans.
Support project teams in achieving the highest SHE standards.
Lead pre-mortem accident investigations and share lessons learned.
Deliver in-house training and mentor operational teams.
Represent the SHE team internally and externally, driving best practice and innovation.

Essential Requirements

Extensive knowledge of SHE in construction.
Diploma/Level 5 qualification in Occupational Safety & Health.
NEBOSH Construction and General Certificates.
CertIOSH membership.
SEATS certification, valid CSCS card, and full UK driving licence.
Strong communication skills and ability to challenge behaviours constructively.

Desirable

Chartered IOSH status.
SHE-related degree.
Experience coaching teams and supply chain partners.
