I am actively seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers in Blackwood. The service supports those with learning and mobility difficulties with personal care, medication administration, food preparation, and community access.

Pay: £13.68 p/h (inclusive of holidays)

A full UK driving license is preferred, but not essential

*

Manual Handling required (We run this course every month in our office for £25)

*

Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one

The role:

What you'll be doing as a Support Worker:

You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty. You will be helping with their Progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals.

A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health

Empathetic, caring and resilient nature

At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting

Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
